DescriptionThis necklace is strung with enameled beads inlaid with uncut diamonds and fringed with round sapphire beads and seed pearls. Sapphires are rarely used on their own in traditional Indian jewelry. Associated with shani, or Saturn, the stone was believed to hold unwieldy power.
