DescriptionThis pair of flexible armbands, known as a bazuband, are composed of multiple rows decorated with polychrome enamel and inlaid with diamonds. Bazuband were worn by both men and women. This miniature painting depicts a female courtier and her attendants shown wearing golden armbands, bangles and ear ornaments as they go about their tasks.
