DescriptionThis turban ornament, or sarpech, is shaped as a parrot holding a cluster of grapes in its beak. The bird has flattened, short wings and a long, tapering tail that curves towards the end. Floral motifs are enameled throughout and a diamond is inset as flowerhead above its head. Diamonds are on set on the back while an multi tiered umbrella of cabochon pale pink rubies is secured to the beak by a series of shallow, domed and enameled panels.On View
