DescriptionThe dedicatory inscription around the exterior perimeter of this basin reveals that it – as well as four other "water-drinking bowls" – were endowed as waqf to the Rustamiyya Mosque in the Surkhab quarter of Tabriz in AH 1291 (1874. CE) This refers to the renovations carried out by Hajji Rustam Beg at the shrine of Sayyid Hamza in the Surkhab quarter of Tabriz in that year.On View
