The lamp was custom-made for Shangri La by P. M. Allah Buksh & Son, a company that has operated in Jaipur, India since the 1880s. The design was inspired by existing nineteenth-century lamps in the collection from Qajar-era Iran. Registers of geometric design adorn the bulbous neck, belly, and inverted dome of the vessel. All the surfaces are incised with elaborate floral motifs, filtering the light of the custom frosted Mylar light diffusers within.</schema:description><schema:artForm>com.gallerysystems.emuseum.core.entities.Classification@167</schema:artForm><schema:width>0E-10 Inches</schema:width><schema:width>0E-10 Inches</schema:width><schema:width>0E-10 Inches</schema:width><schema:height>128.2702565405 Inches</schema:height><schema:height>0E-10 Inches</schema:height><schema:height>83.8201676403 Inches</schema:height><schema:depth>0E-10 Inches</schema:depth><schema:depth>0E-10 Inches</schema:depth><schema:depth>0E-10 Inches</schema:depth><schema:url>http://collection.shangrilahawaii.org/objects/7967/rdf</schema:url></schema:VisualArtwork></rdf:RDF>
